The question is, should this field somehow work together or depend on the text field? Should the web url values be stored in the shorttext db table? Should this field use text.module hooks where possible? Or is it better to have it completely stand-alone? It is completely stand-alone for now. There are some problems with the validation regexp, see #51984.
