Thanks for your help, but ColorBox states that forms are problematic and points to "Modal Forms" So I wrote it myself, took far less time to write then I took looking for it. I would like to contribute that code if someone could direct me where to post it.

There is a patch for Colorbox in the issue queue at:
<http://drupal.org/node/940220> that adds support for Webform forms.

I'd start there.
