Subject: [support] On a node, I only want to show only the top levels of a taxonomy tree

I have a country/state taxonomy tree that I tag all content with:

US --> Idaho
UK --> Wales --> Gwent
etc, etc

I have a content type where the child items will not be relevant so I
only want the top level items, UK, US, etc to show up.

Is there any way of doing that?
