Was having problem in creating DATABASE. But now manages to create the
database.

You should provide more information so that we can help.

 Also readme file should help

I'm following the drupal .txt files only.
"4.0 Run the install script." in this step it's written
*To run the install script, point your browser to the base URL of your
**website
(e.g., http://www.example.com).*

But since I'm doing installation on my locahost laptop, i don't have any
website.
I thought by using some URL in locahost the installtion for default DRUPAL
will
start but not getting how to do that.

have you tried: "localhost" as url?

localhost doesn't work.
but 127.0.0.1 works and I get Apache Fedora test page.
locahost should work as it equals to 127.0.0.1

or "localhost/install.php" as URL?

This also not working.

what is the output of "ls /var/www/html"

Null.
No output.

[chetanpatil@chetanpatil ~]$ ls /var/www/html/
[chetanpatil@chetanpatil ~]$

Thanks.
