I am confused about how blogapi works. I'm afraid to try it out until I know a bit more about it for fear of damaging my existing site.

Two questions:

1. If I set it up to use a Movable Type blog, can the blog be set up to appear on the front page of my site or is it standalone?

2. Does the Movable Type blog use the same mysql database as my Drupal site or does it need its own database?

Can anyone help?
