I am not 100% sure I understand your issue. I would theme the nodes created for the full document. You can then create views that display the content you want. To link to the nodes you can use the title field and select link to node. I hope this helps you.

I managed to play an set up several modules but I am a novice when it comes to actually programming Drupal and using teh CCK and Views.
But I can see how a set of feilds can be set up to enter the information ( I got this from reading about forms) but to view the information you have enter via the forms or what ever , how?
You are saying that I need to create a View to view the information? Since there will be many documents then how do you display all the different documents?

You can then use a template file to theme the content as you need it. This would even make it all very easy to access so that you could make a view of the doc names and descriptions.
