We have a dual drupal/mediawiki installation and would like some way of meshing the two search engines together. Preferably by having the drupal one querying not only the drupal search data tables in the DB, but also the mediawiki one. Is there a simple way of doing this. For example, by using cron to update mediawiki-data into drupal-search-data or would the different table structures prevent that from being possible?

has anyone managed to "plug in" the drupal search into another db...an additional db, that is?
