If the Views_UI module is not enabled, you won't see the menu item.

You're right. Views_UI is not enabled. :-)




Using a module makes sense in some cases, Views in others.

Could you please elaborate a little bit more about the "cases"? :-)
What do you use and why? If you use both, when you use Views, when you build a module?

Hi to all,
There is a website i nD7 handed over to me to continue to maintain. According what I saw in the admin area, looks  like the previous admin was using modules rather than views for blocks and pages.  What confused me is the view module is installed and activated but I can't see Views on the Structure page?!?

So, I would like to hear here (different) opinion about Vews vs modules.
I found this, very helpful page https://drupal.org/node/904120 and this one https://drupal.org/node/242311 and I think I pretty got a picture, but I would like some more opinions.
