There is http://drupal.org/project/ddblock. But I recommend doing it with http://drupal.org/project/view_slideshow (there is a dd_block plugin for that as well).

I am trying to get a block to show images as a slideshow.
I am finding it difficult to find any plugins which will do this with the least amount of effort.
