Did you turn off (disable) contributed modules first? Then enable them a few at a time and rerun update.php. I've run into dependencies that required reordering the enabling sequence .
I spent a week of reading a lot of materials, and I did follow these sequences those which are documented. I think I did pretty much everything as supposed to be.

All the books are g, g, gone. The list of books is empty. If I try to rebuild one of the books, I get this error:

I have been googling but to no avail. I have looked at its MySQL database but I am no programmer. I don't know where to look at. Any help would be appreciated.
