Kumar either has javascript turned off or ... whatever. (Does other javascript stuff work?)

This is a problem many might experience, IE still used by the silent majority, can't just dismiss it.

and I think it would be cool if IE gurus or those having experienced the same could chime in with a fix.

Not a patch: this looks to be a browser configuration problem, Kumar, not a Drupal problem.
