i was wondering whether it is possible to setup a downloading area<br>
within drupal where the files do NOT go through the drupal uploading process<br>
(the reason being is that they are too big)<br>

The scenario is that i have a folder on the server to which i copy the<br>
files to be downloaded. However, this folder is NOT accessible via the URL.<br>
So does anyone know of some sort of module (i don&#39;t think the drupal<br>
core does it) which parses a folder (which, again, resides outside the<br>
DocumentRoot)<br>
and is able to expose the files contained therein?<br>
