Trying to edit nodes without being admin
Hello all! I have a rol that can edit nodes. If I check the "administer nodes" options, he can go to content, administer content, list of nodes, edit node... fine. But "administer nodes" is more that we need. We need that he only can edit this type of node, no more. We've checked the edit option, but we don't need the option in the web. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance, Carlos

For each content type you can grant the permission to edit it, or edit own type (eg. edit page content, edit own page content, etc.) to each role, so you don't have to grant the administer nodes permission to your role. -- # Vasileios Lourdas, # Informatics Engineer, Thessaloniki (Greece) # http://www.lourdas.name
Thanks, Vasileios. Yes, I've checked this checkboxes, but I don't see where edit this nodes. The admin has a beautiful interface where he can list all the nodes with a link to edit them; but the other role not :( Any idea? On 12/16/07, Vasileios Lourdas <lourdas_v@yahoo.gr> wrote:

You can use Views to create a similar list of nodes. Carlos Costa wrote:

Interesting idea, Brian. I'll play with it. Thank you! On 12/17/07, Brian Choc <bchoc@t4tcolorado.org> wrote:
