Check and see what is happening in the database -- possibly, the changes are being recorded in the database but you are looking at a cached page onscreen. I've seen this occur when working behind a proxy server. Cheers, Bill ravi sankar wrote:

i'm also having similar problems.I'm working with drupal-5..whenever i changed the access control to the forum module and hit save configuration,the page reloads without any change in the module status.. what could be problem,
