Only show "content" fields which apply to a particular content type

I've got about a dozen or so content types each with 5-10 fields. Picking out which fields I want to use in a particular display is pretty tricky and annoying. Is there anything which can filter them for me? -- cgp

I don't know of a internal views way but I do an on page find by field name or content type.
