Your favorite module for gallery of pictures ?
Hello, I'm looking to create a (rather simple and basic) gallery with pictures. Which module(s) will you reckon ? Thanks for your advice. Bye, Bruno -- Linux Counter #353844 http://counter.li.org/ ----------------------------------------------------------------

My favorite setup is the Views Attach image gallery method that Jeff Eaton explains here : http://www.lullabot.com/articles/photo-galleries-views-attach Jake Roufa 208.557.9390 http://jacobroufa.com On Tue, Jul 13, 2010 at 1:29 PM, aleagi <aleagi@gmail.com> wrote:

Bruno, What Jake wrote is great. That method is elegant, flexible and extensible.... and also a bit complex. For quick and easy, but less elegant and flexible... Create a content-type called, "Gallery." Add a multi-valued imagefield to that content (likely choosing "unlimited" for the number of images allowed per node). You might want to use the imagefield_import module in conjunction for bulk uploads... though that requires FTP. Each node of the Gallery node type is its own gallery. You can add any other fields you want. And as for meta-data for each photo, you can turn on the "title" and "description" sub-fields when setting up your imagefield. The relevant modules here are: cck, filefield, imagefield, imageapi. Whenever I use filefield, I always add: filefield_paths, transliteration. Bruno and All, Unless you are dealing with images that have already been resized outside your Drupal install, you'll almost certainly need to use the imagecache module as well. Shai On Wed, Jul 14, 2010 at 8:54 AM, Shai Gluskin <shai@content2zero.com> wrote:

This has now been enhanced into the great http://drupal.org/project/views_gallery module by fellow Lullabot Karen S, in two flavors, regular, and packaged as a feature. Very cool! Victor Kane http://awebfactory.com.ar On Tue, Jul 13, 2010 at 4:30 PM, Jacob Roufa <jacob.roufa@gmail.com> wrote:
