Hi, Suddenly, the URL aliases do not work. I have a bunch or "page not found" errors of clients trying to access them. The setup is Drupal 6.8, Pathauto 1.1, Token dev. (Dec 11th). I've tried deleting all aliases and re-creating them (bulk update), emptying the cache, but no luck. No url aliases appear. What's wrong...? -- # Vasileios Lourdas, # Informatics Engineer, Thessaloniki (Greece) # http://www.lourdas.name

Hi, Thanks for your reply. However, as I say in my first message, I already tried re-creating them through the bulk update and the procedure did not work. If I recall correctly, the last update was the token module, so maybe I will try to revert back to an older version...? On Mon, Dec 15, 2008 at 4:22 AM, Heshan <heshan@heidisoft.com> wrote:

Hi - Yes that is exactly what I would do, especially since the token version you installed still seems to be a development snapshot rather than a fully approved version. Kind Regards, Mr. Torben C.F. I figured out what's wrong. The URL aliases are language aware (at least for 6.x). There was not a long time, since the site was based on 5.x. After upgrading to 6.x and because I had Greek as the default site language, all URL aliases were for the Greek language (though it does not make sense to me, the URL aliases to be language aware). When I changed the default language to English, those URL aliases did not work. When I changed the default language back to Greek, they worked fine. Now, the new question is: How do I make the URL aliases to be for all languages? Is there a setting to stop this from happening? Thanks. -- # Vasileios Lourdas, # Informatics Engineer, Thessaloniki (Greece) # http://www.lourdas.name

I've submitted a patch against the latest 2.x-dev version of pathauto for Drupal 6.x that adds an option for selecting the default language used when creating a new alias. The patch is at http://drupal.org/node/321848#comment-1193243 Thanks. -- # Vasileios Lourdas, # Informatics Engineer, Thessaloniki (Greece) # http://www.lourdas.name
