I don't want 4.6 to keep on living for too long. However, the
possibility is there.

As far as teaching, I would like it to only be 4.7 at this stage, if
only not to
help 4.6 keep on  living.

What we wish for (4.6 to slowly fade away), and what may happen may be
too different things.

I am with you that we should focus on 4.7, but be prepared for a surprise
that 4.6 keep living on.
