Group VS Forum (was [consulting] Re: Drupal Jobs)

I am not sure how the forum and the jobs group would be different other
than that with the group you would be able to have a cck node that
people could create, where as a forum only has forum posts.

Group members should specifically be people who are available
(generally) to do work, or are regularly looking for people to do work
for them.

We were having a discussion a while back about a "professionals"
directory. IMHO, "jobs" sounds a little pedestrian. A lot of people
working on drupal or drupal sites and services think of it as more than
just a "job"

But back to the functionality:
The cck date field option kind of sucks, you have to use a
yyyymmddhhmmss format (AFAIK).

I think that one problem, generally, with job listings or any
"classified" listings is follow up from the lister. It would be very
useful if listings would expire, or if there was some way to enforce a
person listing a job to update the job listing (to close it, or keep it
open).
