As a followup here in case people missed the announcement, another
conference scheduled for third week of April pulled out and we got
#recessionlucky were able to pick up a new set of dates at the Moscone
Center in downtown San Francisco from April 17th through April 19th.

Full schedule details (including related events) are available on the
website (http://drupalconsf2010.org/) and if you are interested in
more details about the SF Community I wrote up a blog post about it
all here: http://tr.im/sfdrupalexplosion.

No word yet from the Drupal Association on a timetable for moving
forward, but I think they are pretty busy with Drupalcon Paris and
they will let everyone know as soon as they can.

Realistically, given the expanding size of Drupalcon, the conference scheduling decisions should be made more than a year in advance.

>>> A great group of Drupal folks from San Francisco are putting together what looks like a fantastic proposal for DrupalCon 2010.

>>>
>>> Unfortunately, the proposed conference dates, March 29 - 31, are during the first two nights of Passover when Jews gather with their families and friends to conduct the Passover "seder," a reenactment of the leaving of Egypt. This is probably the most compelling Jewish ritual there is and even very assimilated Jews take part in this ceremony. There has been a lot of creativity around this ritual in recent years which makes it even more compelling for even marginally religious Jews.

>>> I think the best way to voice this right now is on Twitter, though I think I'll start a thread on drupal.org <http://drupal.org> and post back here. The relevant Twitter accounts are @DrupalConSF and maybe @dries as well.
>>>
>>> Thanks in advance for those who are supportive of this objection.
