it's called a normal anchor link. opening up a tab is bad usability. i
shouldn't have to school a design company in that right?

i understand, but a menu is a core component of a website, so why mess
with it and put fancy eyecandy? heck, why not have a flash menu if
eyecandy is your thing, you know, with a sound and fancy animation
happening before each page loads? you've only got to look at a certain
competitors designs to understand they don't really understand webdesign
and do similar stuff, and it's disappointing to see a theme shop going
that way. having to work with these designs when a client says - i want
that one - only brings headaches. it kinda reminds me of dreamweaver in
the 90s that used js to swap image backgrounds on the menu.
this is advice to keep it simple, and not crazy on your themes. you can
either understand that and take it on board, or go crazy and have
eyecandy everywhere bringing poor usability, little flexibility, and
longer load times.

i never said that, i said the demo site looked as if it was thrown
together quickly, with little regard to actually showing off the theme.
as your blurb says, the theme took months.
