Great idea!
Is that field recalculated on the fly?
Lets say, I have formula: comment count * times node viewed * radioactivity,
so radioactivity changes on every cron run (true???), comment count - on
every new comment, node views - on every node view. When is computed field
recalculated???

Why not use http://drupal.org/project/computed_field and then sort on that
field?
