[consulting] Non-Disclosure Concerns?

If you don't get or don't take the project,
It's unlikely that anybody will even remember that an NDA once existed.
Most states have a two year limit on any civil claim anyway.
I have yet to see a fishy NDA.
Maybe I'm lucky.
You usually see them from big companies, or small companies that are
being too cautious about technologies they don't really understand.
If I have a bad feeling about someone who's asking me to sign a
document... I just don't sign it.

Subject: [consulting] Non-Disclosure Concerns?
Hi all,
Was wondering about how you call feel about potential clients who ask
you to sign non-disclosure agreements before discussing their project.
My personal take is that when something thinks their idea is so great
that other's might steel it, it's is typically an indicator that their
idea is lame and been done -- unsuccessfully -- many times before.
That said, are their any risks in signing an NDA? For example, can
someone have an idea so broad that they can later come back and sue
because I signed their NDA and something I has slight similarities.
Thoughts?
