I beg to differ, Victor: 40 times the $5/hour someone quoted for Vietnam is $200, or 150EUR/hour is actually a fairly reasonable rate in the EU for a specialist.

Your statement is ridiculous. I am not going to qualify it as it deserves to be qualified.

There are differences in what is charged in different countries, but not of the order you are implying (neither 40 times, nor $1000)

That's the reason of outsourcing to offshore. The GDP of the US is 40
times higher than one of a developing country (and a Macbook Pro in
the US is cheaper...).

There's simply nothing wrong with that offer. However, posting that in
the consulting list, where 90% are in the US, causes problem because
there is already a presumption.
