It's a legitimate request, the fervor of the opposition notwithstanding. 
I've managed discussion lists since 1991 and have always used 
reply-to-list as the default. It works fine. Civilization has not 
crumbled. It's not appropriate in all cases. Neither is reply-to-sender 
infinitely superior, as some do claim. As long as subscribers know how the 
list works, either setting can work perfectly well.
