At least I want a new node-type 'image', nothing more, nothing less.
Though, the imageapi should be reworked to manipulate the uploaded  
images in different ways. So, for example when I upload a screenshot,  
it should be handled and processed on another way as when I upload a  
photograph or an image which will be used inline.
Image galleries/photoalbum.module should be handled by contrib  
modules IMO. Too much people want different thing in such a module,  
different views and different displaying of (EXIF) data.
