That is exactly what i want to stop from happening.
We need to lower the barriers to themeing drupal.

I was one of the people who spearheaded the effort to get
the themes consistent between the  admin section and the site  
originally,
But my interest in that was primarily to standardise on the (then new)
menu system which was only being used for admin pages.

I personally like the themes integrated, but the proliferation of  
simple,
elegant fixed width themes, with utterly broken admin sections
has led me to believe that the integrated admin sections should
be the exception rather than the rule.

Now we can argue about the semantics of this for days, but I would
like to see what Chris has put together, and then we can tear that
apart like a pack of rabid wolves.. i mean..  give
constructive criticism, and work from there.
