It's also more consistent with how menu's work (sans the recursive  
nesting algorithm, we hope),
and is the first step towards the CCK form editor.

I have a suspicion it will lead to cleaner code, and better  
seperation of content / logic.

Perhaps we can even have a 'default'=> setting, that allows us to get  
rid of all the $var = ($_GET['variable']) ? $_GET['variable'] :  
variable_get('variable', 'default'); lines
