Issue status update for http://drupal.org/node/25629

 Project: Drupal
 Version: cvs
 Component: node system
 Category: tasks
 Priority: normal
 Assigned to: Anonymous
 Reported by: Bèr Kessels
 Updated by: Dries
 Status: patch

We shouldn't use 'nodes' in output. Shall I change it to 'posts' or
'content'?

Attachment: http://drupal.org/files/issues/node_settings.patch (1.5 KB)

Where does one expect to find settings? Right! under the header
"settings". This patch moves the node config stuff to where most people
expect it [1] to be: under settings. the 'problem' is mostly caused by
the fact there is but a small tab "configure" and that is hidden under
administer content, where one expects to administer content,

[1] A while ago I created a site consistent.drupaldevs.org after
studying behaviour of some of my clients and non-techies. This node
configure thing was most obvious outcome of that study.

I like it too.

But can we please have a page "menu items that have been moved after
the last release" in the handbook?

How about moving the comment configuration page at the same time? Is
there anything else that should be moved?

please don't pollute this patch with "lets move comments too" or
"anything else that should be moved." open a new issue in that case.

+1 on the concept

I find it inconsistent and confusing that some settings are not under
admin/settings/modulename
