That was part of what I tried to do here:  http://drupal.org/node/5639

Unfortuantely, the patch languished in the patch queue until progress made it 
no longer even close to applying.  Specifically, the work to allow anonymous 
posters to enter their names really complicated the issue.

But it should still be fixed.
