Walt

I have an issue with this: migration/backward compatibility.

I have a few sites that already run off default, and I created the
files directory
under sites/default. So, images already have the path:

<img src="sites/default/files/blah.jpg">

If we eliminate the default site, then suddenly, lots of URLs will be broken
and changing them would be a lengthy chore.

Think of default as the "default instance" of a site.
