Look for Atom feed format support in blogapi.module.

Read this for comparision of the APIs supported now by blogapi.module and 
the Atom API: http://www.xml.com/lpt/a/2003/10/15/dive.html

Then search for [desktop] clients supporting the Atom API (there are a 
few).
