[development] Time to remove poll module from core

Before we go overboard on this, do not take them out of core until
someone takes each one and give it the necessary TLC (tender loving
care).

Unmaintained modules just fall off the face of the earth. Look at queue
module and where it has been in over a year. Not a single commit!

A while back, there was a push to replace archive by codemonkeyx's
contributed version.
