I would like to be able to get the bootstrap of drupal low enough,  
that you can
create (say) a templates/ hook, which is just a wraparound for the  
themes directory.

Otherwise, you will still need to edit the templates from other cms'  
to change the paths
of where things are.

Perhaps some intelligent modRewrite rules could do it too.
