;)  a solution exists, but is pending the resolution of a debate on  
how little or much we can trust project maintainers on d.o.  please  
read that thread, cast your votes, and we can fix this highly labor- 
intensive (anyone on the infrastructure list can tell you how often  
this comes up) and annoying problem once and for all.
