Right. We want to help PHP 5 adoption not follow it. We are now big enough to be the leader. We are so deep in OO territory already that we might as well begin using the class construct... in due time, we can retire JonBob's excellent how Drupal is OOP essay. I think Barcelona would be a great time to draft what we can gain with PHP5 OOP constructs... even I have ideas...
