Hey folks, interesting (I think) announcement in the wordpress world
this week that we may want to keep an eye on:

They're releasing the DB class used on wordpress.com which includes some
of the following features:
* Replication
* Failover
* Redundant (public/private) networks
* Local and remote datacenters
* Partitioning
* Different tables on different DBs
* Advanced stats for profiling

That'd be a great list (for large-scale drupal sites) to have in our own
abstraction layer, I think. One to keep an eye on...
