First -- the functionality you describe sounds absolutely wonderful --
awesome!
I was unable to find the original issue.
I just updated to the latest Drupal 6 head and I can't find the "Show
summary in full view" checkbox. I thought it would be on node/add or in the
post settings. Where is it?
Is "summary" now its own field?

Presumably if the summary field is left blank, Drupal will auto generate a
teaser as in the past based on the settings at: admin/content/node-settings
