correct.  but only relevant because you define calling a defined
interface a derivative work.  you only call it this because it suits
your political ends.

_again_, for the cheap seats, this is pointless.  what is relevant is
the actions being taken to resolving the current licensing issues so
that the community may make decisions to go forward.
