[development] How could everyone win and get Views in Drupal 8?

Learn something new every day! I haven't started playing with D7 yet, 
but I can see that becoming a very handy hook.

By the way, do you have a decent reference to the new Database layer for 
D7? I got some stuff to start converting and I would like to start that 
in the near future.
