[development] Best way to let a user notify other users about a new node they created?

You might start with the Actions (http://drupal.org/project/actions)
module - it's a backport of what's in Drupal 6, and I know that allows
you to send out emails at certain times, although I"m not sure how
well it will work for 'sending an email to everyone on your site' -
are you sure you want to hit your users with that much email?
