[development] Views and Datatables

I have created a view using datatables as style plugin.In my view I had
hidden a field which is a primary key..I was getting error "sData
Undefined", so I had to make my hidden primary key filed visible. Now I have
the problem that I am not able to hide a column. I tried to use the code as
in the link below

found no good result. I dont know where exactly to put the code in my module
as given in the link.

Can please anyone help me for this..
