Hello Ruben, Charlie, Djun, Liza, et al--
I have finally joined this list, having been inspired at OSCON/Drupalcon
to do so, and having met Djun and others.
You may be interested in what I've been working on at
http://civilities.net/ over the last 20 months.
I have suggested there is a "next" name for what we could be working on
with Drupal. I spoke to some tech reporters at OSCON (and earlier), and
always get favorable reactions when I say that I'm working on something
"beyond blogging." So I'm not keen on "Blogging 2.0" or even "Web 2.0"
which can't really be extended lingustically. Instead why I've been
carving out a name of a theory (constructive media) as well as a structure
(civ) to define what we will get when we finally converge
forums/emails/web/blogs/wiki under one common structure. I got some good
feedback on this at Saturday, so I will write more this week. I think with
the Drupal technology we are best positioned to refine the reference
implementation of the civ.
