I think this might be the problem you have here. The original 
organizational structure was not designed around using the book 
navigation links. You've designed it around the idea that "I would 
rather do this as  pages." Right now, when I quickly scan the Intro to 
upgrading page, I see a mass of links that is not very scannable. As a 
user, I feel like I would need to figure out why there are two sets of 
links and why there are "continue to" and "jump to" options.

So I agree with Kobus's comment from later on "Exactly. This is overkill 
and makes it look like it is not planned properly." This page is very 
messy.
