Downloading (checking out in CVS terms) with a CVS client might be the 
best option, but you can also grab a CVS tgz from the download page at 
drupal.org. Note however that since this is development version, it will 
change overtime, so it is after all a better idea to get the source from 
CVS directly and update often.
