I left Nick a note, inviting him to join the Docs team.

Also, the most often comparison questions are Drupal vs. Mambo, and
Drupal vs. Plone. These types of things, especially if run through
the Drupal.org website, can quickly turn into holy wars where
supporters of each side just flame each other. BUT, it's useful to
have this kind of material on hand, especially as an aid to the
consultants and developers in the Drupal ecosystem who need to have
it at hand.

I find it's useful to point out good things about other systems, to
compare and contrast strengths and weaknesses. Not sure where the
best place is to gather some of these points, but focusing on a good,
top level description of Drupal is probably a higher priority.

Some brief words to throw into the pot

"Drupal is a flexible Content Management System built around social
software and community management principles. It has a modular
approach to features and functionality, allowing users to build
everything from traditional corporate websites to large multi-user
systems that include social networking tools. Drupal's powerful
categorization system and extensible content system allows it to
support many different data models and media types. Full support for
search engine friendly content and Web 2.0 features like user
interactivity and RSS mean that Drupal is an excellent choice for
building today's leading edge websites."

Cheers,
