Hi Laura,
I'd like to see a page where you use this. I unfortunately don't get in
which situation I should be using this. Please keep in mind that there
may be a lot of designers out there who are not PHP literate BUT have
hacked away at templates elsewhere.
I am CSS-heavy and have learned to hack away at Textpattern,
MovableType and WordPress templates thanks to their metalanguages. At
Drupal, I am lost. So for the sake of designers like me, it would be
awesome to say :
DO YOU WANT TO CREATE __________?
[ Insert an Image and
summary of coding or design challenge
Explain on what we would be using it
Links and/or snapshots to live samples on the web]
THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT:
[ Proceed to the technical explanation ]
Chris Messina offered a link to the best example of this kind of
tutorial. He pointed to this document developed for WordPress :
http://codex.wordpress.org/Designing_Headers
Even if it is not as detailed, I really recommend we follow this model
as Best Practices in tutorial documentation.
Best,
liza
