-1 -- Either straight XHTML or WYSIWYG, and I don't think we'll be
doing that on ay drupal.org sties. If you don't want tags, use an
input filter to restrict usage.

Any text-based format can be "converted". I suspect that what "Dries
has wanted" is a way for export/offline reading. I am not a fan of
random alternative markup languages.
