+1 for this concept. So...would "pages" be the default "text" type
used? Only stories or pages could meet this need today.

"Blog this" was a good functionality for people that used the built in
aggregator. The point being, you hit "blog this", it opened in a new
blog entry, and then you could edit it/add comments (it wasn't just to
"import" it).
But, I agree, it's probably better implemented as a separate module.
