It would be nice if someone could try to install and use Docbook, LaTeX
and OpenOffice+Docbook on Windows.
Installing LaTeX on Linux and Macintosh is easy (see previous e-mail).
Docbook is more difficult to install but is more powerful. I haven't
tried OpenOffice+Docbook yet but it looks like a viable candidate.

That sounded like a strong hint to me. :) I will try to have something tested by Wednesday/Thursday. Most of my initial Google searches an Open Office/DocBook combinations come up with how to export to DocBook, not how to write DocBook with OpenOffice. Beyond occasional reading, I am unfamilier with LaTex but will see what I can find on that subject as well.
I imagine that others have found this resource but will mention it here anyway.
